"Rushing up an alpine slope in summer as pine sap, juniper and wild berries rush by define the aromas found in a glass of this Barolo. Subtle at first the wine crescendos with deeper aromas of cranberry and wild bay leaf. Tart and sour red fruits lift off the palate quickly as firm tannins take control and usher in more savory elements like roasted porcini, sage and dried leaves that continue to the finish.
